Fiore "Frank" Mazza

Fiore Mazza was born in Avellino, Italy on September 8, 1893. He came to the United States and was naturalized on November 15, 1916.

Fiore was living in Teaneck, NJ when he registered for United States military Service on June 5, 1917. His occupation at that time involves his working on a farm in Teaneck, NJ

On November 12, 1917, Private Mazza was sent overseas on the troop transport Powhattan to serve his country during World War I. Private Mazza served as an Engineer in Co. D 502 Br.

Fiore married Marianna Visconti Mazza who was born in Italy in 1904 and who died on March 25, 1994 in New Jersey. She came to the United States in 1924. On May 14, 1924, they traveled on the same ship from Naples to New York City.

By 1926 the coupe was living in Hackensack, N.J. and Fiore was working as a carpenter. By 1928 Fiore was working as a painter ans still living in Hackensack. The couple had two children Louise and Anthony Mazza who were born approximately 1926 and 1928 respectively.

On March 7, 1929 Fiore Mazza died. He was buried at St. Joseph's Cemetery at Hackensack, N. J.
