American LaFrance Engine (1929 Model)
Engine No. 1 is pictured below. This apparatus is an American LaFrance, 1929 model, with 1000 per minute pumping capacity. The old chemical tank has been replaced by a Booster system, and now carries a 40 gallon Booster tank, Booster hose, a supply of 2 ½ inch hose, short ladders, and equipment of minor character.
Chief's Car
The former Auburn speedster, with a record of four years of Department service, originally purchased by the Township for $350, has been replaced by a 1931 Packard Sedan, newly painted; the purchase price on the "trade in" was $231.
While this car is for use by the Chief, the body will be altered to provide the facilities of a first aid dressing station and ambulance for the primary use of the Department at fires.
American LaFrance Engine
Engine No. 2, a 1920 American LaFrance model has been improved by replacements consisting of a 750 gallen per minute pump, new wheels and pneumatic tires, in place of solid tires. The 750 gallon pump, was purchased from the New York City Fire Department, and took but little labor to make it practically "as good as new". The chemical system was changed to a booster system.

Searchlight Wagon (Converted Reo Hose Wagon)
The one time Reo Hose Wagon, 1920 model, has been converted into a Searchlight Wagon, and provides the Department with one of very few such apparatus in service in New Jersey; it has on occasion been borrowed by outside departments. All work of Conversion was accomplished by our Fire Department, including the construction of an electric control panel.A separate 26 HP Reo Motor was salvaged from another old Reo Hose Wagon, and now serves to drive a 25 K W Electric Generator.
