Gregory Alton Watson
Gregory Watson was born on 12/13/1946 in New York, NY to his parents Alton and Jacqueline Watson. The family lived in Teaneck, NJ on 26 Englewood Avenue. Gregory attended and graduated from Teaneck High School in 1964. He was described in his High School Yearbook as being an unselfish and understanding person. He was interested in sports, music and in humanity in general. He planned on majoring in psychology in college. Gregory was a member of the High School Track Team.
Gregory joined the Navy in 1966 and attained the rank of Yeoman 3rd Class. On 11/3/67, while serving on the aircraft carrier, USS Coral Sea, during his second tour of Vietnam, Yeoman Watson died of cardiac arrest following emergency surgery for a perforated ileum.
This valiant Yeoman was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He is buried at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.

Gregory A Watson - YN3: Gregory A. Watson was born on December 13, 1946. His home of record is Teaneck, NJ. He graduated from Teaneck High School in 1964, where he excelled in sports. Gregory was a member of the Amateur Athletic Union and the Bergen Pacers.
He joined the US Navy and served briefly in Hawaii before being sent to Vietnam. Watson attained the rank of Yeoman Third Class (YN3).
Watson died on November 3, 1967 at 20 years of age of a heart attack while aboard the USS Coral Sea during his second tour of duty in Vietnam.
