Paul Santee
Paul Santee was born in New Jersey to Beulah and Howard Santee in 1919. He had a younger sister, Mary. The family lived in Teaneck. Paul attended Teaneck High School and appeared in the 1933 Yearbook which indicated that he was a Captain of the Junior and Senior Assembly Squads. He attended Union College, Schenectady, NY and is mentioned in the 1943 Yearbook. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta undergraduate fraternity and was active in both intramural and intercollegiate sports. He was also a member of the Student Council.
Paul enlisted in the Army on 8/11/41 and served in the Infantry for 5 months prior to being transferred to the Air Force. He attained the rank of Second Lieutenant and served as a Pilot Instructor who taught Advanced Training at the Marianna Air Force Base in Florida.
Lieutenant Santee was killed in a plane crash during a training exercise on 1/10/43. This brave young man is buried at the Ridge Chapel Cemetery in Williamson (Wayne County) New York.
