Naming Of Bookstaver park
Naming of Station Park as Booksaver Park

Beatrice street separates Sagamore Park from Bookstaver Park, which is a picnic grove, on Sagamore's southern boundary.

Dr. bookstaver was a prominent physician who served the Township of Teaneck over a long and productive career. He was among the founders of the Ambulance Corps, Head of the Department of Health, surgeon of the Police and Fire departments, and provided Medical services to the Board of Education. In May of 1976, it was suggested by the Council that Station Park (near Sagamore Park) be renamed in his honor. On August 4, 1976 the decision was made final.
